My Own Private Viacom vs Google with Blogger
The dust is kicking up around Viacom vs Google – really Viacom vs YouTube, in regards to YouTube claiming safe harbor under the DMCA. For some, the argument is about preserving free speech on the Internet. For others, especially content creators or owners (some nastily labeled “Big Content” after Big Tobacco), it is about internet companies growing fat off of the exploitation of content that does not belong to them.
