Paradigma Software at OSCON and Ubuntu Live
OSCON (O’Reilly Open Source Convention) and Ubuntu Live (the first convention devoted to the Ubuntu Linux based operating system) both take place this week - the week of July 23 - in Portland, Oregon.
Oregon itself has been on the Linux map for some time. Open Source Development Labs (a part of the Linux Foundation) is based out of Beaverton, Oregon, Portland Open Source Software Entrepreneurs is also in Portland, and Linus Torvalds himself has lived in Oregon since 2004.
Although the shows emphasize open source software, closed source software that supports Linux or open source technologies are covered by OSCON and Ubuntu Live. Since Valentina Office Server as well as most supporting developer kits were ported to Linux, Paradigma Software will be represented at the event. If you are a software developer interested in delivering fast database solutions on Linux, you can contact me to meet at OSCON. At a minimum I will be attending the SourceForge special event.
